Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Commonly referred to as IBD, it is important to not confuse Inflammatory Bowel Disease with the more common and less severe IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). There are two types of Inflammatory Bowel Disease – Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. As many as 25% of new IBD diagnoses are pediatric cases and require early and regular medical intervention.

Symptoms of IBD include:

  • Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Weight Loss
  • Delayed Puberty
  • Arthritis
  • Rash
