Tom L. Whitlock, MD, MPH
A native of western North Carolina, Dr. Tom Whitlock attended medical school at the University of North Carolina and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago Hospital. He furthered his education with a Masters of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, MA and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2010. His special interests include pancreatic disorders and capsule endoscopy.
Dr. Whitlock is a member of several professional organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, North Carolina Medical Society, Buncombe County Medical Society, and the American Pancreas Association. He also enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, canoeing, rafting and traveling.
