Joe DeCosta is originally from Knoxville, TN and enjoys living and working in the southeastern United States. Upon completing his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, he worked with a gastroenterologist helping research and develop a new treatment for esophageal cancer which led to his interest in GI medicine. He completed the Physician Assistant Program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 1998. His interests outside of work include playing golf, sports, and gardening.
