Frank Chapman, MBA Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Chapman has day to day responsibility for the overall operation of Asheville Gastroenterology Associates, P.A. and The Endoscopy Center, Inc. and has provided administrative leadership to the organization since 2001. He works directly with the administrative team, clinical and non-clinical team leaders, providers, the CEO and the Board of Directors to ensure the provision of efficient, high quality care in a safe environment.

 

Mr. Chapman has a special interest in endoscopic efficiency and patient safety. He is the Vice-Chair of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the international organization that establishes the standards of care and quality for endoscopic procedures. He is the author of two chapters and is 1st editor of the ASGE's The Ambulatory Endoscopy Primer, 3rd Edition, the definitive text for the development and efficient operation of ambulatory endoscopy centers,

 

He is a trained and active Medicare surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). He holds a seat on the organization's Board of Directors and serves as the Chair of the Standards and Survey Process Committee. Mr. Chapman also sits on the Board of Directors of AAAHC's Institute for Quality Improvement (IQI) an organization that offers ambulatory health care organizations opportunities to learn about and become involved in performance measurement, benchmarking, and quality improvement.

 

Mr. Chapman is a past President of the Medical Group Managers Association's GI Assembly, a national organization of healthcare administrators from GI practices. He was a founding member of that organization's Patient Safety and Quality Committee on which he continues to hold a seat.
